NYC Oi! Band THE TAKE Recently Released S/T Album | Listen to “Revolution Now”

THE TAKE have released their debut S/T album and it is no surprise that they have already picked themselves up a big following. The original lineup consisted of NYC heavy hitters such as Will Shepler (formerly of Agnostic Front, Madball) and Sick Of It All bassist Craig Setari (also formerly Agnostic Front) and Scott Roberts (formerly of Biohazard, The Spudmonsters, Bloodclot!, Cro-Mags) who had just left Biohazard looking for a new project that he could help build from the ground up with complete creative freedom and passion. Craig was busy with Sick Of It All’s hectic touring schedule so Scott recruited friend and oi veteran Carlos Congote (Royal Hounds, formerly of 45 Adapters, Urban Noise, Legion 76) to complete the now current lineup.

Check out the video for “Revolution Now” below. “This is our version of a classic song from The Press, they were NYC’s first Oi! band and important to me because they were the world’s first S.H.A.R.P (Skinheads Against Racial Prejudice) band. They are also good friends of mine. I also want to thank our video director Drew Stone and cinematographer Rob Stile.” –Scott Roberts

If you are a fan of The Old Firm Casuals, Agnostic Front, Grade 2, Harrington Saints to name a few then you will definitely want to check this album out. The Take album is out digitally and in Europe, and the LP/CD release in North America .
