Queens based band WIVES releases “Hit Me Up.” Debut album “So Removed,” out October 4th!

Ahead of the release of their debut album, So Removed, the members of NYC group WIVES have released the LP’s first single, “Hit Me UP,” and announced tour dates in NYC and Philadelphia.

From the drop, the track envelops you in the optimistic melancholy of the world being built for So Removed. Crunchy guitar chords dominate the track as an ethereal riff floats above it, all cushioning the sneering vocals of WIVES frontman, Jay Beach. The track is all about the alienation of living in “The 20 teens,” but insists on maintaining a cheerful tone in its composition, demanding to be the grey area that the narrator inhabits everyday. The track perfectly sets the stage for the world of So Removed, easily and charmingly paving a road for the uninitiated to follow into their debut LP.

So Removed, the debut album from Queens-based WIVES, will be available October 4th through City Slang Records.
