Adorable moment when Pink stops concert mid song to comfort crying little girl
Pink generated a heart-warming viral sensation when she halted her performance mid-tune to support a small girl who was crying. The singer interrupted her acoustic version of "Who Knew" after noticing a distressed child in the crowd.
"Is everything fine over here? Is this small girl okay? Why is she weeping?" Pink questioned. Upon learning the cause, she continued, "Because a fight happened? You're fighting near a small child?"
The crowd jeered at the quarrelers, while Pink offered comfort to the girl: "Sweetie, would you like this frog and this Rice Krispie treat? Come on, you surely want a Rice Krispie treat." She also praised the child, saying she looked "lovely, dressed completely in pink."
This touching exchange gained massive popularity on YouTube, reaching 10 million views.
When the young fan hesitated to come forward, Pink reassured her it was fine and passed the gifts through another attendee. After thanking the girl for attending, Pink scolded the arguing women: "Stop it, all of you. You're adult women."
The audience responded with enthusiastic applause before Pink started "Who Knew" again from the beginning.
Online supporters praised Pink's fan care, commenting: "Pink likely transformed an unpleasant experience into a treasured memory for that girl" and "Pink is incredibly wonderful. I admire how genuine she is. I wish more performers were similar to her."
Another popular video shows Pink performing "Who Knew" as a duet with Kelly Clarkson on her show. Before singing, Pink shared that she "lost many friends, sadly, to overdose, and the second one was extremely close to me, and I cared for him deeply."
She added, "What I appreciate about the song now, after so many years, is that I never grow tired of performing it, and it has developed various meanings throughout the years. It related to my grandmother at one time. It related to my dog. I've lost people, so it remains somewhat new in my heart."
