Vocal ensembles have become somewhat predictable in television talent competitions. However, when six Filipino siblings known as L6 auditioned for America's Got Talent's nineteenth season, their flawless delivery of Celine Dion's "All By Myself"—performed in honor of their deceased mother—left the audience utterly astonished. In an unexpected twist, Simon Cowell stopped their performance mid-way, causing audience displeasure and bringing several siblings to tears.

The group appeared on stage wearing colorful formal jackets and shared their touching background with the judges. They explained they were part of a family with ten siblings, one parent, and four children (belonging to one sibling), all living together in a cramped house in the Philippines. Their aspiration was to win the $1 million AGT prize to purchase a larger home for their growing family.

When asked why they chose AGT specifically, the Luntayao family revealed they were fulfilling their late mother's wish, stating with emotion: "Before she passed away, her dream for us was to perform on AGT, and this is it now!"

This wasn't their first television appearance. L6 previously finished tenth in the inaugural season of Pilipinas Got Talent in 2010, later competing on Asia's Got Talent in 2017, and The Voice Generations in 2023.

As the musical accompaniment for "All By Myself" began, two male siblings masterfully handled the opening verse with perfect pitch and captivating skill. However, when two female members stepped forward for the chorus, displaying glimpses of their remarkable vocal abilities, Simon Cowell abruptly halted the performance, repeatedly asking them to stop. This sparked immediate disapproval from the audience and left the performers visibly confused and emotional.

Simon addressed L6: "There are a lot of singing groups. I'm going to do something which I think is going to help you: lose the track. Okay? Because, in my opinion, the track was terrible. And there aren't that many great a cappella groups, and I think you've got the potential to be a great a cappella group."

The renowned music executive's instinct proved correct. Regrouping, L6 delivered an outstanding performance. Their a cappella harmonies achieved perfection; resembling a gospel choir with pop sensibilities, their voices combined operatic grandeur with orchestral rhythms, blending so seamlessly they produced an effect similar to an electronic vocal processor.

The performance earned a standing ovation from all four judges. With most family members overcome by emotion, Simon praised their a cappella version as "more unique, more special, more memorable." L6 received unanimous approval, advancing them to the next round in a moment that has already garnered over 1.5 million YouTube views!
