These Fifth Grade Boys Give A Hilarious Performance At Their School Talent Show
It's always wonderful to watch youngsters taking the stage and showcasing their talents at school competitions, whether they're vocalizing, moving to music, or exhibiting other skills. While every participant in these events deserves applause simply for standing before their classmates and giving their best effort, occasionally you encounter a display that astonishes you with creativity far exceeding the performers' age.
One such remarkable presentation came from four fifth-grade lads in 2017, who participated in the Elementary Talent Show at New Braunfels Christian Academy in Texas. The pupils started with a dark fabric covering them to conceal their act until the final moment. When the covering was lifted, it revealed the boys all clothed in infant outfits with small fake legs they could manipulate with their arms. The crowd instantly erupted in giggles – yet this was just the start.
What followed delighted the viewers even more, with the boys using their costumes to move to various famous tunes in creative and amusing ways. The initial song played was Taylor Swift's "Shake It Off," with the boys lip-syncing to the lyrics and bouncing along to the refrain. The most well-received music selection, however, was Carl Douglas's "Kung Fu Fighting," with clapping and whoops coming from the viewers as the four entertainers displayed their martial arts movements in their outfits.
These playful youngsters aren't the only pupils who brought uproarious laughter to their schools during a talent competition, with eight fifth-graders doing exactly that at Porter Elementary back in 2014. Using a piece of blue plastic as a swimming area, the pupils acted as synchronized swimmers, executing a series to classical music as if they were actually in water. The crowd clearly adored it, and the eight pupils received well-deserved cheers and claps when they concluded.
Both these videos – which together have been viewed by over 30 million people – display the wealth of skill and creativity visible at school events like these. Keeping viewers engaged for even five minutes isn't simple, and it's certainly not an ability everyone possesses, but these children managed it effortlessly.
