When Dave Grohl’s 12 Year Old Daughter Stunned Everyone With Her Awesome Adele Cover
Dave Grohl stands out as an exceptionally gifted musician. He participated in two major and groundbreaking bands during the 1990s, and his group Foo Fighters continues to produce popular tracks today. Not surprisingly, his daughters Violet and Harper Grohl show the same musical ability as their father. The pair gave a stunning performance together at the Notes and Words benefit concert supporting UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital in San Francisco. Dave led the event, playing many Foo Fighters classics. He delivered acoustic versions of "Times Like These," "My Hero" and "Everlong," clearly pleasing the crowd.
After completing his performance, Dave presented his daughter and invited her to join him onstage for their combined performance. Violet displayed remarkable poise for a 12-year-old. They sang Adele's emotional song "When We Were Young," with Violet showing impressive vocal strength and quality. Few vocalists can match Adele's famous skill, but Violet handled the challenge with ease.
Before they began, the proud father told the audience, "I remember her saying, 'Dad, you're not even the best singer in the family.' And she's right!" Perhaps in the coming years, Dave might not remain the most recognized Grohl.
That evening, Dave also performed with his other daughter Harper, singing "The Sky is a Neighborhood" together.
Following this excellent performance, the Grohl family raised their game even higher. Dave and Violet started an acoustic version of "The Sky Is A Neighborhood," but they had company. Harper, only nine years old, joined them. She seems to follow her father's musical path as well, playing drums while Violet provided background vocals.
To finish, the girls took the main focus with Violet singing Queen's powerful song "We Will Rock You," as Harper played drums. These talented young performers will likely deliver many great performances in the future. Perhaps someday Dave will support them as their backup musician!
