Viewers rarely witness the birth of a youthful rock talent on stage, but The Voice Kids participant and aspiring musician, Jack Goodacre, received a once-in-a-lifetime chance. Before a packed audience and several influential judges, Jack delivered Tom Petty's memorable rock ballad "Free Fallin'" and stunned everyone with his remarkable vocal abilities. As we'll discover, his talents extend beyond singing; he's also a skilled guitarist! This energetic 11-year-old impressed the judges with his rock and roll enthusiasm, and his musical passion was evident throughout his performance. Jack developed this love for music from his father, with whom he performs in a band. Prior to his audition, he expressed the joy he experiences when playing alongside his dad. With his supportive family watching from backstage, Jack stepped onto the platform with a wide grin and gave his finest performance.

After Jack's already outstanding audition, he discussed his additional musical interests. Upon telling everyone he enjoys rock songs and citing "Sweet Child O' Mine" by Guns N' Roses as a favorite piece to play, Danny Jones asked him to perform together. After preparing a guitar for Jack briefly, the pair rocked out and presented the Guns N' Roses hit live in an unplanned moment that amazed the audience.

Tom Petty's "Free Fallin'" became a genuine hit during the 1990s, though his career extended far beyond this single classic. Released in 1989, "Free Fallin'" rapidly gained popularity and appeared in various media, including the film Jerry Maguire in 1996. Following Petty's passing in 2017, "Free Fallin'" reached number two on Spotify's Global Viral 50; it has consistently remained one of Tom Petty's most recognized and successful songs.

Unfortunately, Jack Goodacre fell short in The Voice Kids, exiting during the semi-finals. However, this setback didn't deter his musical ambitions, and he later joined forces with his father, Tim, to compete on Britain's Got Talent instead. There, they advanced easily through the competition and secured their place in the live shows after Simon Cowell pressed his Golden Buzzer. Beyond his talent show appearances across the UK, Jack has launched a solo career as an independent artist. He released his first solo track, "Brightside," in 2018, showcasing an upbeat pop-blues style and proving this young talent has the potential to become a star.
